Current ARB Compliance Looming Timelines

Dear TRAC Members:

As the January 1, 2014, Truck and Bus Regulation deadline approaches we know that you will increasingly get questions from your customers, members, and others in the trucking community.  As such, you can play a vital role in assisting owners and operators in complying with CARB regulations.  To help you do this, we are sending a reminder of some of the critical messages that we have been passing along.

Don’t wait

Order your filter now. Most diesel vehicles (with GVWR more than 26,000 lbs.) must have a CARB-verified soot filter by Jan. 1, 2014.

Note: Clean up requirements for trucks from 14,001 lbs. to 26,000 lbs. GVWR do not start until 2015.

Avoid penalties

Purchase a CARB-verified soot filter by Sept. 1, 2013, to avoid penalties if your order is delayed by the manufacturer.

Be informed early

Plan ahead to meet CARB requirements. As deadlines approach, the need for information increases rapidly. Waiting until the deadline may cause a delay in assistance. Visit our TruckStop website today for tips and more information.
